Synopsis

Inspired by writer/director Michael Bergmann's severely autistic 18 year old son, "Influence" is the story of a first date for two autistic teenagers who can't speak. With their parents' help the two communicate mainly by spelling letters on a board. The film explores young love as these two determined deeply challenged young people struggle to find their way with each other and the controversial issues surrounding assisted communication.
